We believe, there should be no longer need to travel miles to just find out foreign exchange rates from local currency exchangers.
MoneyChanger's goal is to aggregate real-time local currency exchange rates for an easy comparison,
and make this information transparent and accessible for travellers worldwide.
Things to know when exchanging your money
Check the mid-market rate.
The mid-market rate, also known as the interbank rate or spot rate, is the midpoint between the buy and sell rates from global markets.
Always check how far the rate you're receiving deviates from the mid-market rate, and shop around for the best deals possible.
Avoid airport and hotel currency exchanges.
As a rule of thumb, exchange rates offered here are poorer than you'll find elsewhere.
Choose to be charged in the local currency.
When making ATM withdrawals or paying with your debit/credit card, be sure that you always choose to be charged in the local currency.
Being charged in your home currency means accepting whatever exchange rate the ATM's bank applies.
This is usually a poorer rate.
Spend your money before leaving.
Try to spend all of your foreign currency as re-exchanging your money back means you'll be paying conversion commission twice.
